Rev. Dr. Eileen Campbell-Reed, author of The Pastoral Imagination, writing coach, and founder of Three Minute Ministry Mentor has a practice of writing down her top 10 things she did that mattered during the previous year.
She does this instead of making resolutions, so that she can focus on where growth happened during the year, what was positive, and what went well. It's a way of building resilience that focuses and builds on strengths. What did you do that mattered this year? I encourage you to think about it - review the past year in your mind, and reflect on what went well, where you might like to focus in the new year, and what gratitude this practice instills in you. Happy new year!
